help w/ 87 formula 140 speedometer
I just picked up a 140 speedo for $5.00.I took the (red) gear in the tranny sending unit also.Would that be all I need to have a correct speedometer?I installed this already but can't believe what it reads. In 3rd gear at 3000rpms my speed is 70mph.At 110 mph the rpms are at 3000 in OD.At 130mph the tach is at 3200rpm in od.My car could go 150 easily if I wanted to.The axl ratio is 3:42 and tranny is 700r4.

You dont need the red gear, you must use your factory gear to retain accuacy. All you need to do is pull out your old speedo and circuit board, and replace it with the 140 speedo and cct board.
