HUD in third gen

anyone ever thought of putting HUD display from gran prix into transam? just another electronic GM gizmo i'd like to have in my car... also like the GM information computer installed in Caddys or touch screen in reattas if anyone did these please tell me how you did it

One problem you'd have is with the coating that HUD equipped cars have on the inside of the windshield. My '92 Cutlass Supreme has a HUD and it almost doubles the price of the glass.

I remember seeing an aftermarket HUD on an RX-7 or something similar once, and it had a sticker stuck to the windshield above the projector in the dash to make it reflect properly.

I remember someone talking about this install on a thirdgen a long time ago...

he was actually working on doing it and was pretty close to making it work.

I think that there is some kind of spray for the windshield that he got or something like that...

Maybe he will respond.

I love those trip computers too, and my old Crown Victoria has one. They somehow sense the flow of fuel, and also the speed of the car (probably through the VSS). If you could get the fuel-flow stuff figure out, it could probably be made to work.
