i learned something about cutting wires

i went to install my radio and i learned something...don't cut into a + wire connected to the battery with a swiss army knife. An enormous spark shot out and missed my eyeball by barely an inch.. the end of the knife was toast. woop. I still managed to start the car and the radio worked too. I guess i got lucky.

oh.. the radio i installed was $25 and $30 6x9 speakers from pepboys. Does anyone have a decent radio they could sell me cheap? this one puts out 7watts LOL. I don't want to put anything expensive in there... my car keeps getting broken into and they'll just steal my **** again. Already lost 2 radios and 2 amps. GO NEWARK, NJ!

Whenever working with the electrical systems of your car unplug the negetive wire from your damn battery. I know how it is and had to spend $80 and five days fixing the damn problem. You could have fried something good.

You should have spent the $10 or so dollars to get a radio harness. Then you wouldn't have had to cut anything to begin with.

Burn your @ss once and you'll learn that disconnecting the battery is ALWAYS the FIRST STEP in fixing anything related to electrical.
