Autometer Gauge Swap

Has anybody ever put Autometer guages in their camaro. I saw a article in either Super Chevy or CHP where they put in a set and changed the speedo to an electrical. I am very interested in doing this and would like any help on how to do this swap.

I just started the swap about a week ago. It hasn't been too bad so far just time consuming. I can't tell you a whole lot yet about it because I don't have it done yet. I have a new dash panel machined and the old gauges removed, haven't gotten any further than that yet. I think its going to look great when I'm done. I bought ultra-lite guages and an electric speedometer. Email me if you have any questions.

I've swapped my stock gages for Autometer gages. I machined a sheet of 1/8" aluminum for the electronic speedo, tach, vacuum gage and all of the indicator lights. I had to get creative with the indicator lights and turn signal lights. I ended up making a plasic honeycomb out of sheet plastic, kinda like the stock light separaters. Then I mounted 12V mini lights from Radio shack. Works really well. I'd recommend installing wire connectors so you can remove the new panel without cutting wires. And on mine there were about 20 wires.

Email me if you have any questions. I'd defintiely recommend a shop manual for the wire diagrams. Or you can check out the ones on my webpage.

I'll try and post a picture on my webpage today.
