MSD Problem

I bought a used MSD 6aL box from a friend and bought the wiring harness for it on my 89 5.7L TPI camaro automatic. I simply hooked it up and got good power and ground sources. My car ran fine and I could tell a better power difference with it plugged up but for no reason in the middle of just cruizing speed driving my car would die. When I pull over and try to turn on my engine again, the engine wont turn over.... I pop my hood and unhook the wiring harness from the coil and then plug in the factory connections and then it started fine. I did the spark test and it worked.. then when hooking the MSD back up it started fine but again after about 4 hours of driving my car died again with the same symptoms. It has done this after every time I hook the MSD up. I have an ACCEL coil, aftermarket cap and rotor, accel 8.8 wires, and bosch 4+ plugs. Thanks for any information that you might have or any tips to my problems...
Thanks,
Clint

The fact that the engine will not turn over should not be effected by the ignition system. The battery, the VATS module and starter enable relay, the ignition switch, and the starter could be the problem, if the motor will not turn over.
