Swap 110 Ga. Cluster for 145 - can I use the same computer?
I am slowly in the process of swapping my 3.1L to a 5.7L in my 91 RS. I have found the 145 ga. cluster for a 91, and I was wondering if the ECM and PROM for the 3.1 will correctly run this cluster. I haven't yanked the 3.1 yet, but I would like to test the guages on the new cluster, and go ahead and swap the cluters now. I have heard that the comptuers for the 3.1 and the 5.7 are the same, with different PROMs, but I haven't had any solid verification of this. Can anyone help me out? Thanks.
