when should my radiator fan run?????
hey everybody,
Well i got a question for yall, my fan dosent seem to be turning on at idle. i havent checked it when hot yet. but when sould it come on i have an 87 camaro with the single fan. Is the relay on the pasenger side of the radiator the fan relay. b/c mines badly burned up. just noticed it today. so i guess i get to take a trip to the jyard. any fan help would be great.

If it's carb'd, the relay near the radiator is the throttle kicker relay. The fan turns on when the climate control switch is in the MAX, NORM, or BILEVEL positions, or when the thermal fan switch in the passenger side cylinder head detects > around 230 F (too high, in my opinion).
