police package alternator upgrade for my 92Z

what size alternator did the B4C package use in 92? I remember hearing it was a 140 amp alternator (as compared to the 105 amp that's stock on my LB9) What am I going to need to upgrade to something with some more power? (My stereo kinda killed my factory alternator) I figured that would be the easiest bolt-on way to do it. I heard from someone on this board a while back, that I can use a 140 amp caprice alt. and use the proper bracket (I have the part #'s for it) Will this all drop right in, or am I going to need to do any custom work, I'm just worried that if everything doesn't fit right, the parts counter is going to be a pain in the rear about returning the alternator because its an electrical item.

I'm lookin to do this on my day off tommorrow, so a quick response would be a great help.

Thanks,

Steve

Since you have a 92 serpentine setup, it should bolt right on.

I'm curious, did it work. I'd like to do the same thing on my '91 T/A. Did it just bolt on up, or do you need any special parts? Please include the part nos.

Thanks, Dave
