Manual ignition cut off switch?

I was thinking of installing one so I could turn it off and on at will (to prevent car theft). Like when I park in a bad area.

My question is if there is any negative effects that can be had by this? I run an MSD coil and MSD6AL. Can these units be damaged in any way by the constant on/off of the ignition system?
Thanks

Just put a switch on one of the 12V input.
I would put it on the negative side, but i don't think it would matter.
I havent tried anything like this so this is my 2 cents.
