Big @$#%UP on my end....=(
Ive had a number of problems with my aftermaket alarm. I didnt put it in nor would i have PAID someone to put in an alarm. Im sorry but the person that put the alarm in "tapped" into my airbag..drilled holes..and "tapped" into my parking lights! Anyway I ripped MOST of the alarm out and I was taking the rest of it out and as far as I can tell I cut a "fuel pump wire." I have a 91 Fomula with TBI. Heres my dilemma...Theres the heavy black wire going to the starter (im assuming) and another wire going to the alternator.....BOTH THOSE WIRES ARE INTACT. The wire going to the alternator has a little black tube (what is this little black tube????) around it and there WAS keyword WAS a orange wire coming out of that black tube. I cut that wire because i thought it was part of the alarm.
To make matters worse I cant slice that wire and make a connection (I didnt leave myself enough room)
What can I do to correct my @$#%up? Can I buy that wire that goes to the "hot" side of the alternator WITH that black tube?? and make a connection from that? I would be very greatful for anyones help...

the "black tube" sounds like a fuseable link, you can usually buy these at your local parts store, it should have an amp rating on the outside of it, or for the time being you can eliminate it till you get everything else working and just hook the wore directly to the alt or the starter depending on which one you took it off of
