Insane Ignition RPMs

I just put an Accel cap/coil in, and it works just fine, but now whenever I crank the engine, it revs way high before settling back down. Also, if I'm sitting at a light for too long, my RPMs (idle?) drops to the point where I become concerned about stalling. Any tips? Thanks.

Carb or TPI? If its TPI, it sounds like a problem with your IAC motor. Try the reset procedure in the tech articles section.
