Any ideas?
Any ideas?
I have an 86 IROC, PW, PL, etc. The problem is that there is a 2 amp draw on the electrical system. I have tried pulling all of the fuses, and nothing makes it go away, this leads me to believe that it is some where in an unfused circuit, but where? Any ideas? Have any of you ever encountered this before? Also, if I jump the car and drive it a substantial distance each day, the battery stays plenty charged, however if I let the car sit 24 hours or so, it is dead as hell. The volt meter reads very high when you first start the car, even if you can just barely get it started. The volts drop a bunch when the fan kicks on but recovers shortly after, the gauge also jumps when I hit the brakes or turn on the turn signals. I am totally lost, can you guys help me out?

The computer has a memory backup. Some years may be different, but on mine there is an orange fusable link thats connected directly to the pos. battery cable near the batt. terminals.

Do a search for "battery drain" on the Electronics Board - there are some existing topics that discuss this issue. There are quite a few paths for the current to take, even with all of the fuses removed.
