Coolant temp. sensor??

What's the deal? Is there a one for the ECM and a seperate one for the dash gauge?

Yes. On my 350, the CTS (for the ECM) is on the front of the intake below the t/b, and the temp sending unit (for the dash gage) is between the #1 and #3 plugs...

There's actually 4 - the cts in the front manifold for the computer, the one mentioned for the dash, one on the pass side of the block for the fans, and one in the manifold (measures air temp not coolant temp, but it's the exact same part #) and they go for about $8
