anyone know fog lights???
I want to replace the stock fog lights in my '89 IROC-Z because they're rusted out and they look bad on an otherwise spotless Camaro. But I don't want to spend $180 bucks to get factory replacements if there's a better, cheaper alternative (especially if I can get some cool-looking halogen lights, or something). I don't mind doing a little wire-splicing or drilling to make things work, so if anyone's messed around with kind of stuff before, let me know what you recommend.
Regular ol' cheapy halogens are only $40 - $50 from most department stores and auto parts stores. Come with everything you need and instructions if you just want an extra pair of lights. I would recommend not using the supplied relay and getting a good one though. I've seen two as the cause electrical fires in other cars, and one close one in mine!
I don't run fogs anymore because let's just say you get what you pay for. Someday I'll get that $250 set of CATZ driving lights.

I'm running a set of BIG A$$ rectangular Hellas, I don't remember what they cost (picked them up for a road rally back in the 80's). I just ran a wire from the high beams to a switch in the dash to a relay next to the battery so that I can turn them on and off but they only come on with my high beams.
