Distributor swap/Tach hook up?
I'm going back in time. I've purchased a used vaccum advance distributor and an old q jet, both in good shape.
When I install my distributor, what should I set the points gap at?
Secondly, where exactly does the one wire coming out of this dist go? It of course is connected to the points, condensor and the internal dist. ground.
Lastly, how do I hook up my tach?
Thanks agian.

Call a parts store for the points gap - dwell angle is usually around 28 degrees, if I remember correctly. The single wire from the distributor goes to the "-" side of the coil and the tach. Connect the "+" side of the coil to +12 volt ignition power.
