Buzzing Choke Light
Here's the problem. My choke light flashes and my ignition buzzer goes off at varying intensities depending on the RPM. There must be a wire that grounds out at a certain vibration(RPM). It's draining my battery, and more importantly, it really ticks me off. Any suggestions on where to start? Tracing wires in my steering column for hours on end really doesn't appeal to me right now. Thanks for any suggestions.

your alternator is bad. take the car to pepboys or someplace that load tests them for free. you will see, it is bad. let me know if i'm right. had a very similiar problem with an 86 camaro.

That never even occurred to me. I'll try to get that done tomorrow. Thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I had the alternator checked out today and all is well. I'll have to play with it later. I also have a big stereo that's causing some problems. That may be it right there. I think I'll try a battery with more juice for one, and if there's still a problem, tracing wires is what I'm left with.

The choke heater relay, plugged in to the convenience center, is probably making the buzzing sound. Try replacing the relay.
