Flashing Codes On An 82 Possible?

Hey there guys. Im pretty new at this, but it looks easy so here goes.

My 82 T/A has been having numerous problems left and right. My buddy has a 91 Wrangler and he can flash his service codes with the ignition key(lock, on, off, on, off, on). I know a GM Third-gen wont do that, but is there anyway that I can flash a service code by the hairpin trick? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I you have the aldl (sqaure connector, usually to right of steering wheel, stands for assemby line diagnostic link) in place and the comptuer is hooked up and operating you can check your codes like any other gm with the aldl setup. I think its jump the two right most pins on the top row. Should flash you a code 12 three times, then the error codes, then three 12s agian.

Yes, I do have the aldl. I just flashed the codes and some errors came up. Since I know my car, I'll get around to fixing them soon.
