anyone ever order from www.alternatorparts.com ??
Im just wondering if you have and if you had any problems with them, I ordered one of their high amp 1 wire alt's last week, hasnt showed up yet, and Ive emailed these guys 2-3 times, called 2 times and each time the ans serv says the voice mail box is full, am in the process of trying to fax them to see if they answer that way but the fax machine is not responding, how interesting, hopefully I didnt just get FKD by these guys.
thanks
Jack
thanks

well after all the attempts to reach him I went to the bank to have them cancel the debit, I had to call from home to do it so when I did get back I checked my email and he left a message saying it had been shipped, no tracking #'s or dates as to when it was, did he ship yours the same day you ordered it? I ordered mine on the 14th, and if it took 7-10 days for yours I should be seeing it any time now, Im just tired of waiting.

I ordered parts Jack, not a complete unit. Maybe they ran low on cores and there was a delay. I don't have the invoice handy but as I recall they shipped two days after order was taken. I have everything shipped to and billed to work, I will take a look.

ok finally got the alt yesterday seems it went to soutn carolina rather than south dakota! anyway got it put in this morning, bolted it up wired in the batt wire started the engine and revved it up, nothing, about how many RPM's does it take to excite these things? the batt was at 11.8V when I started the car, now down to 11.1 when I turned the lights on, it also seems that with a one wire regulator that it wouldnt have the provisions for the plug on the side, but this one does, I may be wrong on that this is the first time I ever dealt with one of these, an ideas, now its the 4th weekend, and I know none of the shops are going to be open so I can just take it in to someone and say what the hell is the problem!?!?! damnit

Been away Jack, the housing may have the hole for the plug, but I don't think there are any contacts. With a self exciting alt it relys on its own output for field excitation. They don't start to show anything until it spins up. Just came home from babe heaven, i'll get more info for you.
