Cruise Questions

How difficult is it to put cruise on a carbed 5-speed. What equipment is needed and does anybody sell a complete kit. Has anybody tried this by themselves or should I have a shop do it, they quoted $300, is that reasonable. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks

Try Microcruise. That is the company that makes the cruises that I use in my installs. It's not too hard to install.Since it's a 5-spd manual,be sure that there is a way the cruise module shuts off when you depress the clutch. Some modules use the tach reference signal which will shut off the cruise module automatically when the rpm's go to a certain level. And other modules use the existing clutch safety switch in the vehicle or an add-on switch. All you need for the install is the cruise module, control handle, and your basic hand tools. And yes,$300 is reasonable. I usually charge about $350 when I do a cruise.
