Camaro Headlight Problem

Whenever I turn my headlights on they don't come on. I have every other light but the headlights. I checked to see if they were getting juice and they are not. Do you think that my problem could be the switch? This happened one other time but after I let the car sit over night they started to work and worked ever since until recently. Thanks in advance for any information.

Either the head light switch, the power feed for the switch (one of the fusible links connected to the large lug of the starter), or the high / low beam selector switch (if the high beams work, it is probably the high / low beam selector switch).

The intermittent part makes me think it is probably the switch. I'm pretty sure there is a circut breaker in the switch too (for overload protection). I had a switch on it's way out and the headlights actually started flashing on/off while driving...I replaced the switch and it hasn't happened again (been over 6 years now).

Thanks for the tips. Today when I got in the car I had headlights agian but I went ahead a changed the switch. I noticed that on my old switch one of the copper prongs was a purplish color so I am guessing that was my problem.
