Fuse shorting out for tail lamps / instrmnt panel / head lamp motors??
This is in my TTA, the fuse thats for the head lamp motors that lower them and the tail lights, and the interior instrument lights keeps blowing fuses.
When installing a new fuse with everything off, as soon as contact is made it sparks and blows it.
How can I begin to trace the cause down, or may it be as simple as a relay, maybe for the head light motors??
This car only has 11k miles and the wiring has not been touched, the brake lights and head lights still work fine.
Never had an electrical short before in any car, this is my first.
Thanks

preliminarly, u can do a visual check of the wires, u most likely wont see anything so then i would suggest getting a hold of a multimeter and start checking to see if there are power wires grounding out on the chassis, the meter will help u identify which wire it is exactly. in the mean time during you visuall, try to find wires that are crimped, squeezed or anything like that. good luck.

I found the problem to be the head light motor relay thats on the driver side firewall, its got 5 wires on 1 connector and 4 on the other. Just unplugged both connectors and the inserted a fuse and it didn't blow, lights all worked.
Plugged the wires back in the relay and the headlights lowered and everything works for now. Maybe just had a bad connection of the relay needed a little tap, but at least I know the source of the problem.
