Electronic Traction Control

Has anyone ever heard of or used RaceLogic's Electronic Traction Control.??

if you have please let me know.

there webpage say's it can be used with any cat that has EFI and ABS.

with that in mind would a TBI count as electonic fuel injection? or would i have to have tuned port?

Our cars dont have ABS, so you couldnt use it.

their page said you could get an adapter peice for non ABS. but that EFI was requered for it to work.

so i am wondering if it would work with a TBI injection, that is controled by the computer right?

but i am planing on puting a new engine with TPI in this winter, and i wouldn't be getting that until that was in anyway. so with a TPI and the non-ABS adapter it should work i think.

or would traction control on a 3rd gen be a waiste? has anyone tried anything like that on there cars?

The operation behind "electronic traction control" is to apply the brakes to the "spinning" wheel, and to apply what is known as "torque management", or in other words, reduce engine torque by retarding ignition timing. There are much better ways to "hook up".

what other ways are good for "hooking up"

any ideas would be great. (also not just looking for drag racing traction) i want a car that is easy to drive through coners too.

A torsen T-2R posi (just released), a set of good urethane bushing trailing arms, a stronger urethane bushing pan hard rod, sub-frame connectors, adjustible valving shocks & struts, a stronger torque arm and a urethane mounting bushing for it, a urethane transmission mount, and a set of soft compound wide (255 mm, or so) tires that have been pre-warmed, a bit.......Also, a full fuel tank will help in the hook up dept, although more weight = more energy required to accelerate, which = slower e.t......
