putting in trans am taill lights?

putting in trans am taill lights?
i went to put trans am tail lights in my bird today, i got the wiring harness along with the lights, but the harness is different. my car is a 89, the car i got the lights off of was a 86 i think. the trans am lights have a plug in right really close to the light bulbs, on my 89, the plug in is next to the drivers door with like 4 feet of wire. i guess i am going to have to do some splicing tomorrow. any info would be appreciated. thanks
