Engine harness swap....will it match up?
I'm in the process of swapping the limp 2.8 in my 87 for a 87 350 TPI. Now that I've beaded and painted my engine compartment I want to get the engine harness hooked up before I drop in the engine. Is the TPI harness going to hook up to the connector block in the firewall "near the brake booster", I haven't replaced anything behind the dash. Do I need to?

The ECM harness routes to the other side (passenger side) of the engine compartment, however, you will need to splice a few things into the drivers side harness, like oil pres & temp sender, +12 volt battery power from the fusible links, (possibly) TCC control, etc.

So, I'll need to take the dash down to splice before I exit the firewall into the engine compartment? Also, what is TCC control, torque converter? I have a T56 to drop in so that's not an issue. Thanks for any replies.

You will be able to do the splicing on the drivers side at the engine compartment side of the fire wall. TCC is torque converter clutch, so it does not apply with a manual trans.
