Broken Brake Lights...
Here is my story...
I was driving down Route 31 in Jersey, and all of a sudden this guy pulls up at a red-light and tells me my brake lights don't work. In all honesty, I do not know how long I have been driving without brake lights, so this is news to me. My question to all you guru's out there is this: What are the different possibilities that my brake lights have gone out? I checked into the fuse panel and found nothing for brake lights. The weird thing is, all 3 of them are not working. However, when I put the lights on, they come on, but when I depress the brake, they still don't light up. Is there a switch, or a wire near the brake pedal that might have come off that could've caused this. Any help would prove to be greatly appreciated - - seeing as I am unable to drive at night now because of it...

The stop light fuse is a 20 amp fuse located on the right side of the fuse block just forward of the two silver metal ones. It is labeled "Stop Haz". If if is blown the stop lights won't work. The running lights (which you turned on by pulling the headlight switch) is a different 20 amp fuse. If you find that fuse is good (don't go just by looks, do a test with a multi-meter), then check the stop light switch located at the brake pedal. It could be broken. If it popped free fo the bracket it would be on all the time. Good luck, Lon.
