Why not just get them recovered at an upholstery shop? I had the same issue with the rear cloth covered speaker grilles in an '87 convertible Z28 - they came out great.

Long-Lost 3rd Gen F-body Twin....I guess it was a stroke of luck that I peeked at the pic of your 86 Trans Am. I happen to own the Same EXACT car. Wheels, paint scheme, everything...its all the same. Unfortunetly, i cant show you in this message board, because i havent figured it out yet. I just thought it was awesome that we both have the same exact cars ;-) I havent seen any with this color scheme at all...yours is the first one besides mine(and its in better condition too).
