Just got auto-dimming mirror
Just got auto-dimming mirror
I just went to the junkyard and found a thirdgen auto-dimming mirror. It was only 50 bucks so i had to have it. It has a pink wire, a brown wire, and a blue wire with a brown stripe. Can anybody tell me how i would go about wiring this up. I have the overhead console so im asuming i can get some power from there. Thanks.

Hmmm - well mine has pink, green and black, but I'll try to help you out. The pink you run down under the a-pillar to the fusebox and it plugs in there - if you don't have the plug just use a spade connector, should be a place on the fusebox labeled "fog" The green on mine was originally wired somewhere so that when you put the car in reverse the mirror will flip down all the time for better visibility - I just scratched that. The other wire is ground, on mine it was a very short black wire with a round metal connector, unscrew one of the small bolts near the center of your roof and screw down the ground wire and you're done. Hope this helps.

sorry i was on crack when i typed this - it doesn't say "fog" it says "mirror" or something like that. it should be obvious if you have the plug, if you don't, just use "acc" or something.
