Tach is reading off.

According to the OTC scan tool at the shop my tach is reading about 300rpm high. can I get it to read right, or am I just screwed there. Also my voltage gauge is reading WAY high. it shows 17-18, alt. is only putting out 13.5-14.1

my tach does the same thing and I have tried putting other factory tachs in and they all do the same thing, I think it is just something with the tachs, you can try to fix the volt guage by taking out the cluster out and then taking out the volt guage from the cluster and tightening the little bolts on the back of it (sometimes they work themselves loose) try this with the tach also.

Hope this helps
