I was thinking about getting the 5" indash Auto meter elec. gauge that has up to 200mph. not that I want to go that fast put it looks cool. Question is will it fit my 700r4 and cable driven stuff or should I wait till I put a T56 in?
If it fits the stock stuff what will I need to put it in?
Thanxs

I just installed an Autometer 160mph electronic speedometer in my car. I had to get a different speedometer cable to hook up to the sending unit to make it work. You need the type of cable that screws in to the gauge and not the type that holds on with a bracket like the stock one. If you go with a mechanical speedometer you will still need to get a different cable but its no big deal. I got mine at NAPA, I think it cost around $20. You will also need to fabricate a panel to hold your new gauges. Here's a picture of my gauges. Email me at jbenge@hotmail.com if you have any other questions.
