84 ram air on a 86 TA?

I bought an 84 T/A for the rearend and trans, and was wondering if there is a way to get the ram air hood to be functional on my 86 TA. It's coming of a carb engine, and my 86 is TPI, so I know it'll require some rigging of some pipes to get it to run to the TB, but not sure on the electronic side if it'll work......

Those 82-84 TA cold air induction hoods work great with 4bbl or TBI cars but it would be a real pain in the *** to route it to your TPI tb. Your 86 hood would be a lot easier. Use the hood vents..I think some other guys have done it before on here.

Seems like it would be a major project to mod it to work with a TPI induction... but, I can solve your problem with electric activation. I just finished converting my ram air to driver-activated opening and closing. Check out my website below for the how-to.
Good luck!
