I have a 85 camaro and the choke light won`t go out. I also find that the choke is not getting enough power to operate properly. Am I looking for a relay and if yes where is it. I need input and or help.

Check out the alternator first. Test the terminal on the back of this unit. Should read approximately 14.4VDC. If it doesn't, it's probably dead or dying. The Choke light comes on when this happens, don't know why they did it like that, probably assumed that everyone would take their car to a mechanic who would know what the illusive amber light means.

i had the same problem on my 86 monte ss and it was a loose connection on the oil sender switch to the left of the distributor
