Lower voltage = less hp?

My alternator has not been charging my battery as much lately. I do not know if this is due to the weather we are getting or what. Before, it used to be 14.5 . Then 13.5. With a/c, lights, and stereo on it's in the 12s. Am I actually losing some hp because of this?

Probably a little. One mag did a test at one time where they took the belt off the alternator to reduce the drag on the system for drag racing and they actually ran slower.
