Hatch motor issue
Hatch motor issue
I've got a slightly weird issue with my hatch motor...
When I release the hatch using the button on the dash, it immediately pops open. So far no problem...
But before I even have a chance to get out and lift the lid up, the hatch motor immediately sucks the lid back down again. This pretty much renders the remote hatch feature useless, unless somebody else happens to be standing right there to grab it.
Is there a quick and easy way to fix this?

I'd almost bet you prop your hatch open too or hold it up, huh ?
Change the hatch struts, it will lift itself (or at least relieve the hatch weight to keep it from relatching itself when you pop it from inside the car).
