headlights keep shutting off!

On a recent trip to san diego from pheonix (in which I got my first ticket going 20 over) My headlights would randomly cut out while I was driving! I would have to push the **** back in and pull them out again until this would stop. My voltage was reading between 14 and 12 and when it would hit 12 this would happen. I don't think its the battery because I just replaced it 6 months ago. This is a problem I would like to have fixed before I drive home to wisconsin in a week. please help

Replace the headlight switch. There is a circuit breaker in there, and it would appear yours is getting weak.....
