Engine: =350 sbc
Transmission: TH350
Axle/Gears: 3.73
Lg4 ecm removal need help please

Is there anything when im removing my computer to look out for? I dont want to screw it up and this is my first time doing it.Im Taking the ecm out of an 87 lg4 iroc.Any help would be very helpfulalso will my gauges work when i remove the computer

The ECM is located on the far passenger side of your dash. Simply remove the bottom panel from the dash and pull it out. Nothing to it.

Just remember to disconnect the battery first so you don't accidently ground anything out.

Ok,But is there any wires that i have to be careful about when im cuttin the computer harness out of the car.I dont want to get in to the regular wiring harness.

the engine harness and the lights, wipers, horn..... harness are seperate from each other. there is a few wires that cross over from one harness to another, but just follow them through the harness and have a wiring diagram handy just in case.

P.S. the gauges will still work, all the wires are in the other harness.

except for the tach, you will need to run a wire from the white wire on your coil to the white wire in the dash (bottom [brown] connector, terminal #1)if you are using an MSD box.

I was wondering the same thing about the hole ECM adn wiring harness swap I have a LG4
in my 87 Z28 and im putting in a L98 from a 88 IROC and I was wondering about the deal with wiring.
