no brake lights/ have hazard lights

no brake lights/ have hazard lights
I have an 84 firebird. the brake lights wont come on even with the whight and orange wires at the switch shorted. But the hazards work fine, is there a vulnerable spot in the wiring where I can start looking?

Well neccesity is a mother. Used the Israeli
Military technique, cut the wires and put in a new wire, not pretty but it works. Next time I'll use a more provacative title for my post, like Hot Shorts Help Me get Turned On.
