My Camaro does not have rear trunk release or defroster in the rear, I would like to add those 3 butttons/options that are behind the gear shift, are the wires there or not and if so could I just add that 3 button swith pannel or would I have to change the trunk release?????
not sure on specifics, but if you don't already have a power-assisted trunk release, you'd obviously need a power-catch mechanism at bare minimum -the wires might be there, but I really don't know....
the outer buttons of the 3 you are referring to are for power windows. some much older models use the center button for rear windshield wiper and the newer ones use it for the rear hatch release you're desireing.
if you want to put in the rear hatch release(motorized) you need to get the proper bracket for it and have it welded into place.
if you want to just put in the solenoid release, you might already have that bracket in place ready to receive the solenoid/cable.
best of luck,

UPDATE
I looked at my motorized hatch today and it doens't look like there's a way in hek that the unmotorized hatch popper is going on the motorized hatch assembly, i think they are two totally different animals. Hey i'll look at my 86 sc just to make sure
