when I turn on my fan it works in all modes except high, I have been told that a connector is at fault b/c it melted, he says all th GM cars he wrorked on had this problem, can you verify it?? And he says it is under the hood where the wiring goes through the firewall, where can i find this?

Check the high speed blower relay near the fan, under the hood.

no it would be over by the fan motor. also check to see if the relay is even getting the high load power. not the wire that does the switching but the wire powering the fan. Should be a larger wire going to the relay. My 89 camaro did the same thing and i traced the wire back to a sh-ty connection. i reworked the connection and it worked fine ever since.
