The fuel gauge on My GTA is doing weird things. A few days ago I ran out of gas, but the gauge showed 1/8 tank or over. Then today the gauge showed past empty, when I filled it up it only took 8 gallons and the gauge never went past 3/4 full. My gauge was always fairly accurate. Any advise on a fix?

it happens to all thirdgens. does it go vertical like 12:00 on a clock when it is full if so you caught the diease. somepeople say it is the sending unit. but im not excatly sure. mine does it to just know when it moves alot you are like half a tank.
