Power hatch is junk......
Power hatch is junk......
My power hatch is being stupid. It's always given me problems to an extent, but nothing that wouldn't eventually straighten itself out with a little fiddling around with it. But now the motor is stuck in the down position, and will not come back up to grasp the hatch. I was told on nethirdgen.org to "push the thing that looks like the button on the inside of the refrigerator to make it go down, and when it goes down all the way it will rise back up". This didn't work. It's stuck, and my hatch will not shut, which is really annoying when driving on bumpy roads. What else could be the problem? I remember looking into it a while ago, and discovered that these are really expensive. If I pulled one from a junkyard, would it be easy to install?

It is easy to install and you all so can do away with it buy bolting the slide peice at the write hight either way, I went through three of those motors and decided to stabalize the mech. to the right hight now when i pop the trunk i don't have to worry about running to catch it because it goes down automaticly and jamming. been there done that. just an option, but installing another one is easer for the next time and the next time
GOOD LUCK!
