There will be a lot of opinions, but here are the facts. You do not mention what kind of problem you have but regardless of what it is aftermarket changes do not usually correct anything. The MSD unit essentially generates a higher output spark as opposed to the stock setup. Is it worth it, probably not unless you are counting tenth's at the track. The stock electronic ignition is quite good as far as spark output, reliability etc. Even using conventional plugs I have pulled plugs after 20-30k in TG's and assuming the engine is OK they are always burning perfect. Aftermarket ignitions can generate a lot of noise in the electronics if they are not properly grounded and installed. This can cause the ECM to act erratically. Long time age when we ran point type ignition changing over to electronic aftermarket systems made some sense but the stock electronic systems of today are so good that changing over often makes little sense unless you race. The stock coil can generate close to 35-37kv, the blaster about 45kv. Will you notice the difference, probably not unless you run the engine close to redline on a regular basis. The high RPM area is the only place most knowledgeable racers claim they notice any difference at all. It's your money, up to you.

well my probelm is in 2nd gear around 3500RPMs...it only happens when im holding the gear like when im racing. at 3500rpms it seems like i just took my foot off the gas for a second...then put it back to WOT...its weird, its like it pauses for a second then comes back stronger then ever. i thought that i wanst getting enough gas in the higher RPMs with my stock qjet and my built 357, but i put in a B hanger and DR rods to solve that problem, and that didnt help it out. then i dropped my tranny, and hoped that that might have been the problem.....but wasnt. now i can sit there in park and rev the crap out of it with no problem...and its only 2nd gear that i know of so far.......im clueless
