Killing fuses....................

Hey guys, when I tried to stick something other than my radar detector in the cigarette socket it burns the fuse. And I tried to get one of those dual outlet adaptors to work so I could plug in my radar detector and my cell phone charger and it blows the fuse every time. Do I need a higher watt fuse? Thanks if you can help.

Start by telling us what amp fuse you have.

It's one of the yellow 20's right? That happens to me all the time. The interior lights/cigarette lighter/stereo fuse blows like every other time I use the cigarette lighter. WTF?
