Install Power Windows

HELLO GUYS,

I have a 92' z-28 and did not come with power windows or power door locks i have two doors with the power windows and power door ocks that i got from the local wreck yard. my question is do i need to do anything else besides mounting all the stuff to my og doors, by the way i don't know where to connect the wires from the motor of the window or the power door locks. ? can you guys help me with any info on how this might be achievable.

thank you

Lups

it would probly make it easier if you went back and grabbed some of the wiring for the windows and such out of that car. you arent going to get all of it because it runs way up under the dash, hidden behind a sheild. but you should get the switch connectors and switches since these motors are two wire instead of the conventional 3 wire. the only other things you should need are the caps that go where the window cranks used to be. and depending on if your going to wire it the origional way, you may want a fuse block and such...

hope your 92' z28 isn't a daily driver, having windows that don't open is not good during the warm summer months.

wiring diagrams and other relevant info are avaliable at:

as far as where the wires run, the switch wires run back with the tail lamp wires and crosses over to the console under the seat. the wires for the pass side run way up into the dash where you dont want to try and get to.... so I suggest find a good spot to run the wire where nothing will rub on them.
