Blowing taillight, horn, & dash circuits.......
I am blowing the 20 amp fuse as soon as I turn on my lights, losing the tail lights and dash lights. Needless to say, I can't drive at night. Also, the horn started blowing as I was driving down the interstate the other day, made a lot of new friends! The fuse for the radio circuit blows when I push the horn. I'm guessing one of the shorts must be in the steering column. Has anyone had/have any of these problems? What did you do?
Thanks
Thanks
i know that the horn, interior lights, radio are all on that fuse. it's a common problem with this fuse popping do to the cigarette lighter being bad. try not using your lighter at all, or just leave it out and see what happens. not sure about the other prob though.

this sounds funny.. but check to see if
any pennies or anything is in yor cigarette
lighter.. I had this happen and I kept blowing fuses.
it took me a few minutes of searching.. and I realized a penny got down in there.. as I use my ashtray to store pennies, and I have a little dispenser that holds my dimes nickels and quarters for the toll road.

There is nothing in the socket. The lighter is removed, still no difference. I have owned the car since new and the lighter was used twice. I'm thinking it is in the steering column somewhere. Did I mention I hate electrical problems, I'd rather clean up the doggy landmines in the yard!
