no brake lights

ok, i have no break lights. maybe this is the problem. my rear latch has always been messed up and one day it decided to continuosly make a noise like it was trying to retract. anyways, so i unplugged the module going to it and the noise obviously stopped. anyways, anybody got any ideas?
