High beams...

When I flip the headlights on in my bird everything works good until i put the high beams on. Usually when I flip the high beams on the lights blink off and it goes back to low beams. Today I flipped them on and they came on, but when I went to flip them off the high beams stayed on. After about 5 minutes of playing with and jiggling the handle it went back to low beams. So, I switched it again and once again the high beams would not come back on. What do you think this is? How can I fix it? Is it difficult to fix because I hate messing with the wiring on my car. Thanks in advance, and thanks for all the help in the past.

Sound like the problem I had in my old daytona, the high beam swith is on the verge of breaking. The switch is located on the steering column undet the 'hush panel' (neato trim cover for all the wiring). There should be few screws holding it to the column (usually descent instrustions are included with the switch). Unplug the old & put in the new, put everything back together and everything should be better. Don't wait too long,, I did and the high beams got stuck on one night.

You might have to lower the column to get a little bit better access which only involves removing 4 bolts holding it to the brace (easily found with the trim cover off)
