Trunk Hatch Motor Brushes

Well, I got the motor apart, and I found that one of the brushes has cracked in half!!! Tried soldering it, but whatver the brush is made of cannot be soldered together.

Is there someplace anybody knows about that I can get a replacement brush with a length of the copper wire attached to it. I can splice or solder or whatever I have to do to get it together.

Actually, I had the idea of crazy-glueing it back together, think this is actually possible?

It actually works cracked, as long as the broken half stays in place and doesnt get knocked out...

I already replied to your other post, but I'll repeat the info here. I haven't found a source for the brushes. I stock used motors for the 1986-91 hatch pull-down units $9.50 (in addition to the other repair parts I stock or mfg. for these units).
