It takes my power windows longer to roll up than it takes my grandma to get up out of her chair, and my windshield wipers fly across the windshield like an Iron Duke camaro flies down the quarter mile.

I have Vader's .pdf file on the window motors, but I don't know if replacing the brushes will solve the problem. My windows never stop, work intermittently, or have problems moving, except that they are just reeeeeeeealy slow compared to a lot of other cars. I know replacing the brushes and greasing the guides can only help. I'm just wondering if thirdgen windows are slow, or if these symptoms can point at something specific that can be done short of replacing the motors.

Also, how fast are the wiper motors on these cars? Like I said, mine are reeeeeeeealy slow. They are the adjustable, intermittent type and they seem slow as heck. I don't know if these are serviceable, so should I just replace it? Not really a priority because the car doesn't see rain, but it is irritating none the less.

Any input would be appreciated.

 

I dont know if this is much help. But ive owned three thirdgens. Two had power windows they were slow also. The motors look really cheap to me. The wipers seem kinda slow also.

About the only thing that my 90 came with was airconditioning. Power windows are nice until something goes wrong.
