1986 throwing a code 12?

I have had ferly major problem with my 1986 camaro v8 305 LG4. One day I let my sitster drive it to the gas station to get a pop and my sister is very carful about cars so I know she didn't over push it. Well she gets back and I meat her in the driveway because I had to run a friend home and so the car was still running and I got in and backed out of the driveway and then put it in drive as soon as I did that it would go on its own as normal automatics do, but as soon as I got on the gas it bogged down and would jerk, so I would have to slowly push on the gas to make it even remotly drivable. So my first thought was the timing, I checked the sparkplugs they didn't apear to have any damage or fowled up but I replaiced them with correct timing and new wires, I also replaiced the dis.cap and the rotor and that little modual thing under the cap. That seemed to help it start right up more smoothly, but the bogging down still happend. So I consulted a few shops they said it could be that the carb was warped or just needed to be rebuilt, so I had the carb rebuilt. Still same problem It then came to my knowlage that you can run your own diognostics this being my first chevy I was unaware of this feature, so I buoght a chiltons and ran it. it would flash once then pause and flash twice quickly so I am assuming it is flashing 12 in the book it says (12-Speed reference pulse)it has a 5 cirled so I am going to guess that it is the 5 part on the diagram. the diagram says number 5 is a Trans. Conv. Clutch Connector.

Since its throwing a 12 should I go ahead and replace the Trans. Conv. Clutch Connector? Any information or help on my problem would be greatly appreated, because damn I want to get this car back on the road and start kicking some fords *** 's Thanks

12 just tells you that the diagnostic functionof the computer is operational if there are not any other codes it's an engine problem it sounds like to much fuel lookatthe carband hit the throttle the secondaries shouldn't open until full throttle if they due you'll have to have someone look at the carb
