What should I wire my 3 wire O2 sensor into?

I have heard guys talk about doing it into the hot wire from the fuel pump relay. Will that effect the pumps output at WOT at all? Are they any other locations I could wire into that would be on that side of the hood on a 92 TPI? What color would that wire be? Finally would I want an inline fuse on that sensor? Thanks in adance.

The best reason for using the fuel pump relay (in my opinion), is because the fuel pump is only ON while the car is running, or the two seconds when your first turn the key on. If you're sitting there with the key on, but the engine off, there's no reason to sit there heating up the O2 sensor. But once you bump off the car, it'll start getting juice. It's just smart power management.

I was thinking of doing exactly this myself. I had the same logic. I put a slave fuel pump relay in my trunk which is excited by the underhood relay but powered by the heavy gauge amp wire. Because of this the underhood relay hot wire isn't going through the heavy draw of running the pump and there should be no problem having something else run off it.
